Report on the effectiveness of diesel fuel additives
All of Stanadyne's diesel additives are designed for low and ultra-low sulfur diesel fuel and various distillate fuels used in different markets around the world.
The chemistry used in Stanadyne's diesel fuel additives has been used widely for many years and without any reported consequences to the vehicle's fuel system or damage to engine parts or materials.
Many years of experience with fuel additives, has confirmed that there are no problems with their use.
The chemical compounds used in these additives are in use along with the latest diesel injectors and pumps.
Stanadyne diesel additives do not contain ash, metals or halogens and are compatible with emission control systems such as DOC - Diesel Oxidation Catalyst, DPF - Diesel Particulate Filter and SCR - Selective Catalytic Reduction.
Multifunctional diesel additives are also compatible with common diesel additives used by refiners such as demulsifiers, cold flow modifiers, lubrication improvers, de-icers, cetane number enhancers, detergents, dispersants, corrosion inhibitors and a wide range of fuel blends.

SAVING FUEL BY REDUCING CONSUMPTION
Test bench tests showed a 5.76% improvement in fuel consumption. In practice, however, due to large differences in conditions in fuel quality, among other things, the results may vary. The fuel savings are due to the multiple physical and chemical properties of “Performance Formula.” The main ones are described below:
INCREASE IN CETANE NUMBER
„The “Performance Formula” raises the cetane number of diesel fuel by 2 to 4 points (depending on the type of oil). This improves combustion and cold starting and reduces fuel consumption.
PERFORMANCE IN WINTER CONDITIONS
„Performance Formula" fights freezing by lowering the liquid temperature of the fuel and thus facilitates cold starting of the engine.This product, containing non-drying chemicals, facilitates the flow of fuel through the filter. “Preformance Formula” does not contain alcohol.
PROTECTION AGAINST CORROSION
Since “Performance Formula” contains agents such as antioxidants, anti-corrosives, as well as stabilizing agents, it thus protects the fuel system from damage caused by water and other contaminants.
IMPACT ON THE ENGINE
“Performance Formula” contains ingredients that protect many metal parts of the engine, mainly injectors, pistons, valves and other surfaces exposed to high temperatures inhibiting the accumulation of deposits on them.
LUBRICATION
“Performance Formula” contains lubricating substances that reduce friction between moving parts, and this reduces their wear and the need for repairs. It is recommended to add “Performance Formula” to diesel fuel with low sulfur content, which significantly improves the lubricating properties of this type of fuel.
IMPACT ON THE FUEL SYSTEM
Continued development and improvement of the precision of diesel fuel systems enforces the need for continuous improvement of diesel fuel quality. “Performance Formula” contains dispersants to break up insoluble impurities plus detergents and cleaners. This leads to better atomization of fuel from the injectors and better mixing of fuel and air, and improves mixing in the combustion chamber. The result is better combustion and reduced emissions in the exhaust gas.
